Ed Attanasio

On the professional side, Ed is a freelance copywriter with over 23 years of experience working for clients all over the United States. He has done radio and TV ads for a wide range of companies -- writing, producing and, in many cases, doing the voice work as well. He also does all types of print work, including ads, collateral, annual reports, speeches, video scripts, press releases, newsletters and direct mail. Ed can come up with concepts and take your advertising campaign from start to finish, or can be plugged in anywhere in the process to enhance your project with his fast pen and sharp wit.

On the personal side, Ed is a former stand-up comedian and promoter who has worked with comics like Sinbad, Dana Carvey and Rob Schneider. He currently writes jokes for several San Francisco Bay Area comics. Ed is also a member of Santa Clara County Toys for Tots, and puts on an annual fundraiser for the charity called the Yuletide Yuckfest, a comedy show featuring local and national comics which has been held every year since 1998. He and graphic designer Eric Gouldsberry developed another fundraising vehicle for Toys for Tots several years ago by publishing “Toys from A-Z”, a coloring book featuring illustrations by local Bay Area artists. It was a great success and generated additional funds for TFT. Ed is also a baseball historian, and interviews retired major league players for SABR’s (The Society of American Baseball Research) Oral History Committee. He and Eric Gouldsberry, also an avid baseball fan, are currently building a website called www.thisgreatgame.com, touted as “The History of Baseball on the Web.” Ed lives in San Jose, California with his two dogs, Shelly and Ratdog. He works out of a home office and makes himself available to his clients 24/7.
